The Sketch Pad Custom Matting and Frame Shop opened its doors in January of 2000 and received a major face-lift with the addition of 200 square feet in 2009 to accommodate more display space and better meet the needs of our customers.
As Resident Artist and Owner, I try to spend time with my customers sharing my ideas as to how I can provide them with a creatively matted and framed piece that complements the decor in which they wish to display their memories, prints or diplomas.
I received my formal training at Munson Williams Proctor Institute & Buffalo
State University receiving a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree, while also completing a minor in Photography. After completing my education I taught Art Education for the next 18 years at Notre Dame Junior/Senior high schools along with teaching at the elementary for 3 of those years. The combination of my education, training and years of selling my own art pieces has given me a great understanding of color theory and enables me to make your piece something that can be admired in your home or business. Additionally I received specialty mat cutting and conservation framing training in New York City and Philadelphia at educational seminars sponsored by the Professional Picture Framing Association with industry greats such as Brian Wolfe and Vivian Kistler.
My husband of 27 years builds all of the frames used in completing your project and shares in my enthusiasm of making your frame compliment your piece. We offer over 1,000 frame choices, all the necessary components to frame your piece with conservation materials and offer exciting matting designs and fillets. I hope you enjoy my website and take some time to check out some of the many pieces displayed on our portfolio page. I am also available for Art lessons in various mediums.
Please call me at 315-853-7450 to schedule a free design appointment and receive a price quote for your piece or discuss the possibility of becoming a student. If it is easier for you, email me at email@example.com and we will get in touch with you.
Thank you for considering us to frame your valued treasures and heir-looms.
